Mazama Coffee Company in Dripping Springs is such a cute, cozy spot and exactly the kind of coffee shop that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and even when we visited on a busy Saturday mid-morning, the line moved quickly and the whole experience still felt easy and relaxed. Mazama means a sure-footed mountain goat, which fits the shop’s warm, adventurous Texas Hill Country feel.
One of the first things we noticed was the smell. Walking inside, we were greeted by the rich aroma of fresh coffee, while outside there was the intoxicating scent of warm, cinnamony baked goods in the air. That combination was absolute perfection and made the whole place feel extra inviting from the start.

The coffee absolutely delivered. The barista mentioned that their espresso is blend of all their beans. It turned out to be velvety and delicious, and it seemed to be a double shot, which was such a nice surprise. We also tried the single-origin Ethiopian drip coffee, and it was smooth, fruity, and beautifully balanced. Mazama roasts its coffee in-house in historic downtown Dripping Springs using responsibly sourced beans, roasted in small batches and ground fresh right before brewing, and you can really taste that care and quality in every sip.

Beyond the drinks, Mazama has the kind of atmosphere that makes it easy to see why locals love it. Their menu also includes organic teas, 100% juice smoothies, iced drinks, sandwiches, salads, and pastries from their on-site micro-bakery. The baked goods looked amazing and we will definitely try some on our next visit! Mazama Coffee Company provides a relaxed atmosphere to chat with friends, enjoy live music, work peacefully with complimentary WiFi, or simply enjoy a short respite from daily life. Family-owned and operated since 2012, Mazama was the first specialty coffee house in Dripping Springs, and it still feels like a true community gathering spot. Warm, welcoming, and full of charm, it’s the kind of place that feels comfortable the moment you walk in.
Mazama Coffee Company in Dripping Springs is well worth a visit for great coffee, cozy vibes, and plenty of space to relax—and even worth the drive if you’re coming from a little farther out.
